On-Chip Terahertz Inverted E-Connected I-Shaped Plasmonic Waveguide Bandpass Filter

This paper presents an advanced on-chip terahertz ($\mathrm{T H z}$) bandpass filter (BPF), uniquely designed with an Inverted E-Connected I-Shaped hybrid spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP) integrated with a substrate integrated waveguide (SIW). This design operates effectively across a frequency range of 276 GHz to 296 GHz, achieving a reflection coefficient $S_{11}$ better than $\mathrm{- 1 0} \mathrm{dB}$ and an insertion loss (IL) $S_{21}$ of $\mathrm{- 2. 4} \mathrm{~ d B}$. It features a 3 dB bandwidth of 20 GHz. Notably, the design excels in controlling bandwidth, maintaining a variance of less than 7%, highlighting the precision and innovation in its development and marking it as a significant contribution to THz technology.
