A CPW-Fed Triple band Slot Antenna with symmetrical Stubs for WLAN/WiMAX Applications

This paper presents a novel compact CPW-fed slot antenna designed for Triple-band operation. It features a segmental shaped rectangle with two symmetrical stubs placed inside a larger rectangular slot to achieve triple-band operation spanning 2.28-2.74 GHz, 2.87-3.26 GHz, and 4.11-5.89 GHz. The proposed antenna is designed on FR4 substrate of thickness $\mathbf{1. 6}$ mm and dielectric constant of 4.4. The overall size of the antenna is $\mathbf{4 5} \mathrm{mm} \times 60 \mathrm{~mm}$. Simulated Results demonstrate favorable broadside radiation patterns across all three bands, indicating the antenna’s suitability for WiMAX, WLAN applications and other wireless communication needs.
