A Wideband Photo Paper Based Microwave Absorber

The manuscript describes a wideband microwave absorber designed for efficient absorption of electromagnetic waves across the C-band frequency spectrum. The proposed absorber incorporates a resistive layer printed on photo paper using inkjet printing technology. The structure demonstrates a wide absorption bandwidth, achieving 90% absorption in the frequency interval of 3 GHz - 10.79 GHz. The unit cell of the absorber has a periodicity of 30 mm and a thickness of 10.175 mm. The absorber is capable of maintaining its 90% absorption bandwidth for all polarizations under normal incidence. The configuration maintains a stable 90% absorption bandwidth for large incident angles (45 degree) for transverse magnetic (TM) as well as transverse electric (TE) polarizations.
