The Bidding Strategy of Wind-Solar-Small Hydropower Virtual Power Plant in the Energy and Auxiliary Service Market

Renewable energy power generation, represented by hydropower, has been widely valued, and how to make full use of small hydropower enriched in the basin is becoming a major challenge in water conservancy development. In the power market environment, the aggregation of various renewable energy and energy storage device into VPP to participate in market bidding can effectively solve the problem of renewable energy consumption and improve its earnings in the market. A random robust bidding strategy of wind-solar-small hydropower VPPs participating in the energy and auxiliary service market is proposed. Considering the flow delay of small hydropower in the basin, the time-space coupling characteristic matrix is constructed, the uncertainty of photoelectric power, natural inflow and wind power is dealt with by scenario method, and the uncertainty of real-time unbalanced power market price is dealt with by robust optimization method. The robust factor is introduced to balance the economy and robustness of bidding strategy, and the three-stage stochastic robust bidding model of wind-solar-small hydropower VPP is established. A wind-solar-small hydropower VPP containing 59 small hydropower plants in a basin of Zhejiang Province is taken as an example to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
