Coverage Analysis of 5G mmWave Base Station: A Case Study

Nowadays, 5G research and development is in full swing across the globe. It is offering tremendous research opportunities to Academia and Industry people. A huge enhancement in deployment of BSs is expected when 5G shall be deployed functioning in mmWave. In this paper all types of Antennae like Parabolic, Horn, Sector and Cavity are analyzed in actual scenarios of mmWave Base Stations. It is found that Horn Antenna has better directivity in comparison to others. Also, a case study is performed here for MG Road, Bengaluru considering the minimum number of BSs required without compromising with SINR. It is also found that 05 BSs are sufficient to cover the target with a best value of SINR of 18.
