Modelling of diffraction efficiency of surface relief gratings

In this paper the analysis of diffraction efficiency of surface relief gratings is described. Diffraction gratings were inscribed in photosensitive chalcogenide nanomultilayers and carbazole based azopolymers by holographic recording. Diffraction efficiency of recorded gratings were in-situ studying and the obtained kinetics were compared with modelled ones. Atomic force microscopy was applied to investigate the parameters of surface relief. It was shown good correlations between the modelled and experimental diffraction efficiency kinetics. A new method for estimating surface relief gratings parameters by diffraction efficiency is proposed.
