A Novel Equivalent Magnetic Network Method for Permanent Magnet Vernier Motor

Permanent magnet vernier motor has attracted more attention due to its advantages of high torque density and simple structure. In order to analyze the electromagnetic performances of permanent magnet vernier motor quickly and accurately, a new type of Equivalent Magnetic Network Method (EMNM) model is proposed. And based on this model, the motor structure is optimized by multi-objective grasshopper optimization algorithm (MOGOA). Results have shown that the average output torque and the back electromotive force are all increased with the proposed EMNM model and the optimization method.
