Investigation on the Maximum Efficient Current Waveform of SRM Considering Torque Ripple Reduction

At present, the theoretical ideal current waveform of SRM has not been determined, making optimal design difficult. In addition, vibration and noise are problems for SRM, and torque ripple is one of the causes. In this study, the magnetic flux considering magnetic interference between phases was calculated from the static characteristics, and the maximum efficiency current waveform was calculated considering the reduction of torque ripple. This paper shows how to calculate specific current waveforms. Then, specific control methods to realize the calculated current waveforms are described.
