Fault-Tolerant Strategy of Flying-Capacitor Boost Three Level Converter

In this paper, we firstly investigate a method to detect MOS tube short-circuit faults quickly and efficiently by the voltage of the auxiliary winding of an inductor, and also propose a strategy to realize fault-tolerant operation of fly-across-capacitor-type three-level Boost converter by only changing the control method, which can limit the short-circuit inrush current to a preset range under a wide input range, thus reducing the electromagnetic interference to the system.
