Modified Virtual Signal Injection Control of MTPA for IPMSM Considering Switching Operating Conditions

Among many maximum torque per ampere (MTPA) control strategies for interior permanent magnet synchronous motor, virtual signal injection control (VSI) of MTPA performs well without causing any additional losses or high frequency chattering. However, the varying parameter and switching operating conditions lead to the deviation from the optimal control result. To improve the control accuracy and stability, a modified VSI MTPA control method considering differential terms is constructed in this paper. Furthermore, a cascade model reference adaptive system parameter identification is designed to enhance the robustness of system. Finally, simulation results are presented to verify the availability and robustness of the proposed control method.
