Improved Damping Control Based on Hamiltonian Control Law for Low-Carbon Hydrogen Production Systems

The article deals with an enhanced damping control strategy exploiting Hamiltonian control methods for a two-phase interleaved buck converter within low-carbon hydrogen production systems. This approach integrates the proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzer and photovoltaic source to contribute to an efficient low-carbon hydrogen production. By applying principles of physics that govern energy conservation and system dynamics, the proposed strategy achieves a more accurate and resilient control mechanism. It specifically focuses on reducing oscillations and improving the system's stability in case of disturbances. The effectiveness of this control technique was assessed through simulation tests, confirming its superior performance. Results demonstrate the PEM electrolyzer's efficiency in both steady-state and dynamic operating conditions, while pointing out the potential of the proposed control approach in enhancing system reliability and performance.
