Bi-objective Location Planning Problem of Last-mile Logistics under Low-carbon Emissions

With the rapid growth of e-commerce, customers' logistics demands have increased tremendously. To promote the service level of last-mile logistics, a bi-objective location planning problem of the last-mile logistics is particularly investigated under the context of low-carbon emissions. By analyzing the problem characteristics, a bi-objective programming model is constructed. In specific terms, the first objective aims to minimize the overall cost of facility establishment, operation, and transportation, while the second objective seeks to minimize the carbon emissions generated by various energy consumption sources. Employing a genetic algorithm, the feasibility of the proposed model is demonstrated through a random numerical example. By adjusting the weights assigned to the first objective of the overall cost, different solutions can be obtained for practical applications.
