Pulse Signal Acquisition Using Flexible Sensing Dense Array with High Spatial Resolution

This paper reports a pressure sensing array with high spatial resolution, which, in combination with the proposed cross-sectional feature algorithm, enables measurements with a positional accuracy of at least 0.1 mm. For the first time in human pulse wave testing experiments, we have visualized the lateral offset of the pulse wave. In addition, we found that some people, such as patients with fever and pain, have slightly larger pulse wave offsets than others, which may be described as ‘tight pulse’ in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).
