Polarization-Independent Wavelength-Multiplexed Full-Color Metasurface Hologram Based on High-Aspect-Ratio Silicon Nitride Nanopillars

Full-color image reconstruction with a single, polarization-independent dielectric metasurface hologram was achieved for the first time. This achievement was obtained by wavelength-multiplexing approach, which overlaying phase distributions for each RGB color channels. To select the best meta-atom to reproduce the phase distributions of each channel simultaneously, a library of more than 20,000 meta-atoms was constructed. A hologram is realized through high-throughput electron beam lithography and microfabrication of silicon nitride nanopillars with a maximum aspect ratio of 17.5. A holographic movie of the rotating globe consisting from 30 frames were successfully reconstructed.
