Smart Piped Natural Gas (PNG) Meter with IoT Technology

This paper presents a novel approach to revolutionize Piped Natural Gas (PNG) metering through the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Traditional manual methods of gas consumption readings are time-consuming and pose security risks. In proposed work, IoT IoT-enabled automated meter system is implemented using NodeMCU. The system accurately measures gas consumption in real time and transmits data to a central server. A user-friendly web interface provides consumers with easy access to their gas consumption data, enhancing transparency and efficiency in energy management. The proposed solution eliminates the need of manual reading. Which minimizes the inconvenience of monthly visits and mitigates security risks. The proposed system demonstrates the potential to improve gas management, enhance user experiences, and achieve cost savings for gas agencies as well as consumers. Future work includes presenting the system for evaluation and deployment, exploring scalability and optimization, and integrating advanced features such as predictive maintenance and renewable energy integration. Overall, proposed system contributes to the advancement of IoT technology in the field of energy management.
