Mystery of the Pixel: Educational Game on Basic of Computer Vision

This paper presents the development and evaluation of an educational application designed to teach fundamental concepts of computer and machine vision. The game-based application, built using the Unity engine, was tested on 68 high school and university students to assess its effectiveness. Through interactive levels covering topics such as image processing, filters, and thresholding, students demonstrated a significant improvement in their understanding of the subject. The study revealed an increase in correct answers from a median of 6 to 10, indicating the potential of gamified learning in technical education. Additionally, students reported higher engagement and faster learning, suggesting that educational games can complement traditional teaching methods and boost motivation in STEM fields.
