Design and Implementation of a Cost-Effective & Low Power Consuming 3D Printer with Reduced Vibration of Printing Bed

3D printing technology allows for the printing of objects in three dimensions, which is the purpose of a 3D printer. In this paper, we implement a 3D printer to achieve high cost-effectiveness and reduce the vibration of the printing bed. The key components used in the assembly of the 3D printer include the Arduino Mega, stepper motor, hotend, and extruder, among others. We gathered the printer's components locally, which in turn stimulated the tech industry to engage in large-scale local manufacturing, ultimately lowering the technology's cost. We tested the printer's performance by modeling, printing, and assembling various parts of a quadcopter body, among other objects. We used SolidWorks software to model the quadcopter's body parts and various objects, then input them into the printer using Pronterface software. The printer can replicate differently sized and shaped parts within its range with high accuracy and precision due to the reduced vibration of the printing bed. The printer performed on par with both ABS, TPU, and PLA filaments. Finally, we assembled the 3D-printed quadcopter's body with internal circuitry, preparing it for flight. The quadcopter's weight balance was quite satisfactory.
