Development of an Autonomous Navigation System Using Google Maps API for a Package Delivery Device

This research explores the development of an autonomous navigation system for package delivery devices, utilizing the Google Maps API as the core navigation framework. As the demand for efficient logistics grows, the integration of advanced autonomous technologies can enhance operational effectiveness, reduce reliance on human labor, and optimize delivery times. The autonomous robot car, designed with specific operational specifications, operates at a frequency of 0.75Hz, allowing it to query the Google Maps API every 1.5 seconds for route updates. The system processes GPS data and communicates with the Google Directions API to determine optimal routes, incorporating essential parameters such as origin, destination, and travel mode. By analyzing real-time data, the robot can adjust its path, avoid obstacles, and ensure safe navigation. This innovative approach demonstrates significant potential to improve delivery accuracy and customer satisfaction through enhanced route management and operational efficiency.
