A New Method of Image Encryption with Fingerprint Biometric Authentication Using DNA Sequencing

Ensuring the secrecy and validity of digital images is essential in digital image sharing through public network. A novel image encryption, using Substitution and Permutation Network (SPN), to protect the images along with the biometric authentication scheme is proposed in this paper. Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) cryptography is used in the proposed methodology in order to provide confidentiality along with authentication. Randomness of the proposed method is achieved by considering the 1D logistic chaotic map. PSNR value of the proposed method is less than 30dB and correlation coefficients are closer to zero. The experimental metrics proves that, the proposed method transmit the image in a secure manner and withstand against various attacks.
