Efficient Numerical Methods for Convection-Reaction-Diffusion Equations with Distributed Delay

This paper constructed efficient numerical methods for solving a kind of convection-reaction-diffusion equations that have the distributed delay. In order to solve these problems, they are first converted into the equivalent reaction-diffusion form by an exponential transformation. Then the resulting problem can be discretized by the compact block boundary value methods, which are established by utilizing the compact difference method of order four in spatial direction and block boundary value methods in temporal direction, where the integral term can be discretized by compound quadrature formulas.
