Impact of Battery Operated Three Wheeler on Local Grid System

This paper presents a comprehensive study on the impact of battery-operated three-wheelers on the local electrical grid in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The study employs a modified sensitivity analysis algorithm tailored to Dhaka's unique environmental and infrastructural characteristics. By analyzing factors such as charging capacity, energy consumption, and ambient conditions, we assess the grid's stability and the potential challenges posed by the rapid adoption of electric three-wheelers. The results indicate significant increases in peak load, voltage deviations, and overall energy demand, necessitating strategic grid management and potential infrastructure upgrades. Fur-thermore, the study highlights the environmental and economic benefits of transitioning to electric mobility, showcasing the potential for substantial reductions in CO2 emissions and long-term cost savings. The findings provide valuable insights for policymakers and grid operators aiming to ensure sustainable urban transport electrification.
