Research on the Configuration Method of Hybrid Energy Storage for Enhancing the Local New Energy Transmission and Accommodation Capacity of the Power Grid

The penetration of new energy in the power grid is escalating gradually, and the construction scale is expanding year by year. Nevertheless, due to the restrictions imposed by the power grid structure and the capacity of electric energy transmission, the capacity for new energy transmission in some regions is insufficient, leading to high rates of wind and solar energy curtailment and low utilization rates of new energy in local areas, resulting in resource wastage. Energy storage possesses the advantage of flexible resource regulation. Implementing differentiated energy storage configuration in local areas can achieve the aim of enhancing the transmission capacity of local new energy.
