Research on the Joint Planning of Flexible Interconnection and Energy Storage Devices in Low-Voltage Flexible Distribution Networks

As human society continues to evolve, the contradiction between energy demand and supply becomes increasingly acute. New energy power generation is gradually gaining attention, with its installed capacity rapidly increasing. At the same time, many challenges have been posed to the distribution network. Low-voltage flexible interconnection devices (FIDs) can flexibly transmit power, balancing the flow of power between substations from a spatial perspective. Energy storage devices can transfer power spatially, playing a role in peak shaving and valley filling. The combination of the two can improve the power quality of low-voltage substations, enhance the capacity for distributed power absorption, and increase the power supply capability of low-voltage substations. Therefore, it is essential to study the configuration issues of low-voltage flexible interconnection devices and energy storage devices. This paper studies the joint planning of low-voltage flexible distribution substations' flexible interconnection and energy storage devices, analyzes the capacity of FID devices required for planning between low-voltage substations under different energy storage capacities, researches the joint planning strategy of FID devices and energy storage, calculates the maximum distributed photovoltaic (PV) carrying capacity of each substation under different planning schemes, analyzes indicators such as voltage deviation and network loss, and finally verifies the effectiveness of the model in a low-voltage substation distribution system with different load types.
