Harmonic Analysis and Numerical Calculation of Stator Core Loss and Temperature Field for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

During the operation of the motor, losses will be generated, and these losses will escape through the form of heat, so that the internal temperature of the motor increases. Different loss calculation methods of the PMSM are studied in this paper. The results indicate that the calculation method with rotating magnetic field and harmonic influence is the most accurate method for the calculation of iron loss in the PMSM. In this paper, based on a 750W PMSM, temperature results and the experimental values were compared under the natural air-cooling condition. which verifies the reliability of the calculation method.
