Research and Application on the Classification of Material Suppliers in Power Grid Enterprises Based on the Kraljic and TOPSIS Models

The concept of classifying suppliers according to material categorization is proposed in response to the many kinds of materials, vast supplier base, and extensive procurement scale of power grid enterprises. Introduce and properly integrate The Kraljic Portfolio Purchasing Model and the TOPSIS models based on the concept. A material classification model is developed based on The Kraljic Portfolio Purchasing Model. The TOPSIS model is then utilized to thoroughly assess the material classification, dividing them into core, leverage, ordinary, and bottleneck materials, as well as identifying the matching supplier classification of materials. This method makes supplier classification more objective, fair, and accurate, improves the management quality of power grid material suppliers, ensures the efficiency and quality of power grid material supply, and provides robust material support for the safe and stable operation of the power grid.
