Integration of UAV and Satellite Data in Remote Sensing

The integration of satellite and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) data significantly enhances monitoring capabilities. This paper presents a comprehensive survey on the applications of UAV/Satellite integration throughout the data life cycle, including data collection, pre-processing, processing, and storage. Two primary approaches are examined: data fusion and analysis fusion. For each approach, we explore existing remote sensing big data platforms and various application domains. This work aims to assist researchers in developing UAV/satellite systems by helping them select appropriate big data architectures and technologies tailored to their specific needs.
