Flying Najm: Drone-based System for Accident Reporting

The implementation of a drone-based system for accident reporting marks a pioneering advancement in traffic management and safety. “Flying Najm” leverages drones equipped with high-resolution cameras to provide a real-time solution that addresses traffic congestion, accident response times, and public safety. This paper introduces a novel approach by automating the traditionally manual accident assessment process, offering faster and more efficient operations. The prediction is a 40% reduction in accident response times, leading to a $20 \%$ decrease in congestion in high-traffic areas. These improvements are expected to enhance road safety by $15 \%$ and yield potential economic savings of 2 billion Saudi Riyals annually through the reduction of traffic delays.
