Data-Driven Strategies for Enhancing Indonesian Batik Export

Batik is one of Indonesia’s export commodities with great potential for growth. It holds deep cultural value that is appreciated by the global market. However the data shows that Indonesian batik exports have been decreasing over time. This research focuses on exploring the patterns of batik exports to analyze the potential opportunities in the global market. The KNN algorithm is used to cluster export data and identify the characteristics of eacg market segment. The result shows four distinct clusters: high-value markets with exceptional export volumes and values, medium-sized markets with consistent demand and growth potential, and small-scale markets with limited contributions but significant opportunities for expansion. These findings highlight the unique features of each segment and provide insight into creating targeted strategies to improve the position of Indonesian batik in the global market. This research suppport better decision-making for stakeholders and offers a data-driven approach to enhance the competitiveness of Indonesia’s batik Industry.
