Advanced Medical Report Interpretation Through OCR, Generative AI, and Rule-Based Doctor Recommendation System

Patient outcome and clinical decision-making are results of efficiently interpreting medical reports, leading to reliable doctor suggestions-a key component in healthcare. This paper proposes an automated system using Optical Character Recognition (OCR), a rule based framework and a Generative AI model to handle medical reports in PDF. The system captures patient data and applies rules for custom medical advice. This study examine text extraction performance and AI recommendations relevance, showing 97% accuracy 93% relevancy from expert reviews. Challenges including handling complex support formats ensuring complete rule coverage and improving healthcare delivery by reducing time spent evaluating reports. The findings suggest this system can enhance clinical workflow efficiency.
