High-Precision Automated Glass Installation Robot with Dual-Camera Visual Servoing Control

In this paper, we propose a high-precision automated glass installation robot leveraging dual-camera visual servoing control. Our system accurately estimates the relative pose between the glass and the installation frame using dual cameras and an Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) for pose fusion. The visual servo control system integrates real-time image processing techniques to dynamically adjust the glass's position and orientation. Experimental results demonstrate the system's high reliability and precision, achieving success rates between 93% and 100% and maintaining installation accuracy within ±5 mm. These outcomes highlight our method's potential as a viable and generalizable solution for the non-contact installation of large components in modern construction automation.
