Electromagnetic Field-Induced Modulation of Antioxidant Responses in Cancer Cells: Frequency-Specific Investigations and Bioengineering Implications

This study explores the modulation of antioxidant enzyme activities in HT-1080 human fibrosarcoma cells under low-intensity radiofrequency (RF) electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure, specifically in the 2–5 MHz range at 20 nT. The investigation focuses on the bioengineering and quantum biological mechanisms driving these effects. Significant frequency-specific changes were observed in key antioxidant enzymes, including superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione (GSH), and peroxidase, highlighting the resonance effects between weak RF fields and biological macromolecules. This suggests that even weak RF fields can trigger notable biological responses.
