XR-based Caregiver Task Assistance through 3D Human Pose Recognition in Intelligent Spaces

This study proposes a caregiver task assistance system using XR devices based on task recognition with 3D human pose estimation in an Intelligent Space. The system integrates spatial memory for organizing digital data, a 3D model for accurate caregiver posture recognition, and an AR device for real-time task guidance. Experiments with simulated care tasks demonstrated the system's effectiveness in reducing caregivers' anxiety about forgetting subtasks and improving overall task performance. Future work will focus on verifying the system's usefulness for elderly caregivers.
