Optimal Design for CLLLC Resonant Converter

This work proposes an optimization process strategy of the resonant tank of the CLLLC resonant converter. A detailed loss model is determined to estimate the losses in the converter’s parameters. The optimized design of the converter is achieved by determining parameters that ensure the most efficient operation using the available components. Therefore, this optimization process integrates a loss model with parameter calculations, utilizing Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). The obtained losses are validated with the prototype. The efficiency achieved in the practical results was 97.621% and the error between the optimization algorithm and the practical result was 0.297%.
