Investigating Students' Acceptance of Social Constructivist Online Learning in Vietnam

EduNext is a social constructive learning platform, which is based on social constructivism theory. This research aims to explore how EduNext can effectively support students in attaining their desired learning objectives. The objective of this study is to investigate the acceptance of EduNext among university students in the context of higher education. To investigate the level of acceptability among students towards EduNext, the study utilized the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) as a conceptual framework underlying the learning theory of social constructivism. A mixed-methods technique was utilized in this study, using a sample of 305 university students from a higher education institution in Vietnam. The findings indicated that students held favorable attitudes toward the acceptance of EduNext. The domains of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, and behavioral intention were positively perceived. Some science subjects were seen as a challenge for students to use EduNext for their study, so the suggestions to upgrade the platform with more features to fit all disciplines were also considerable.
