Design of Planar Inverted - F Antenna (Pifa) for 4G Cellular Base Station with Spectrum Sensing

In this study, a novel Planar Inverted - F Antenna (PIFA) is designed for 4G Cellular Base Stations with Spectrum Sensing to identify weak links in Repeater Stations and ensure optimal signal coverage and mobile services. The Planar Inverted - F Antenna (PIFA) will be used on an Ettus Research USRP B210 to conduct Spectrum Sensing to detect signal degradation towards Repeater Stations. The results of the Fabricated PIFA show great promise, successfully covering the 4G LTE Band 3 Downlink (1805 - 1820 MHz). The antenna's radiation pattern was evaluated at an RF Chamber at Tatung University in Taipei, Taiwan. Spectrum Sensing was conducted using the GNU Radio Companion (GRC) and Ettus Research USRP B210, along with the Fabricated Antenna. The System performed well during testing at the Rogongon Brgy. Hall. Further assessments confirmed the Fabricated Antenna's capability to transmit and receive signals within the desired Frequency Band. Through the GNU Radio Companion, the System can scan and detect weak signals and transmit signals accordingly.
