Research on Fault Location Algorithm for Wind Farm Collecting Lines Based on Distributed Traveling Waves

In the hybrid line fault of the wind farm collection line, the complex traveling wave reflection phenomenon increases the difficulty of fault location. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes to install a distributed traveling wave detection device on the line according to the structural and characteristic differences between the cable and the overhead line. The line is partitioned and the Pearson correlation coefficient is used to determine the fault interval. Through formula derivation, the influence of wave velocity on ranging accuracy is eliminated, and a fault location algorithm without wave velocity is derived by using the second component in SVD decomposition to calibrate the pulse modulus maximum of signal singularity. PSCAD simulation and MATLAB results show that compared with the traditional single-end and double-end ranging method, this method significantly improves the accuracy of fault location of wind farm collection line.
