Design and Application of Traveling Wave Fault Location Based on Link Layer Communication

Based on analyzing the communication data structure of the traveling wave fault location algorithm, the paper proposed the communication frame format applicable to the link layer. It researched into the ways of the data synchronization mode in optical fiber communication and wireless communication. The traveling wave fault location is designed in combination with the embedded platform. By simulating the different types of faults and faults at different locations on the line, it verified that the switching and ranging accuracy of the single terminal and dual terminal fault location algorithms in the different communication conditions, which meets the application requirements.
