Analysis of the Causes of Corrosion in the Seat Track Section 43 Area on a Boeing 737-300 Aircraft

Corrosion is one of the significant issues affecting the reliability and longevity of aircraft components. This study aims to analyze the causes of corrosion in the seat track area of section 43 on the Boeing 737-300 aircraft. The methods used in this study include investigating the aircraft's operating environment, focusing on factors such as humidity, temperature, and chemical contamination that can accelerate the corrosion process. The results show that the corrosion in the seat track area of section 43 is caused by a combination of factors, including high humidity in the operating environment, the presence of chemical contaminants such as salt and fuel, and the use of materials less resistant to corrosion. The recommended countermeasures include improving maintenance procedures, emphasizing routine cleaning to remove contaminants, using more corrosion-resistant materials, and applying protective coatings to vulnerable areas. Implementing these measures is expected to reduce the incidence of corrosion in the seat track area of section 43 on the Boeing 737-300, thereby enhancing safety and extending the aircraft's service life.
