A Novel Voltage Sag Detection Method for Series Filter Originate from Improved Genetic Algorithm

With the access of a large number of distributed wind and solar new energy to the power grid, the power quality problem becomes more and more prominent due to the power conversion characteristics of its power electronics. Voltage sags is the most serious problems in the power industry of power quality. Series filters can effectively compensate for voltage sags and other voltage quality problems, and are important governance equipment to solve power quality problems in distribution networks. In this paper, a series filter voltage sag detection algorithm originate from improved immune genetic algorithm is proposed. The core of the algorithm is to decouple crosslink among dq axes of the series filter to improve performance of control. The algorithm of this paper is used to optimize the controller parameters. While solving the blindness and randomness of the general genetic algorithm, the PI controller parameters are optimized with fast response and strong robustness, which solves the problem that the controller parameters are difficult to adapt to the changing environment. Finally, the UPQC simulation model considering microgrid is established, and it is verified that the method can accurately detect and compensate voltage dips in microgrid. The real-time performance is good and the voltage compensation performance is improved.
