Experimental Research on the Electromagnetic Damage Effects of the Gyroscope System

The gyroscope system is a crucial component of the inertial navigation system in drones and is susceptible to the effects of electromagnetic pulses (EMP). Therefore, an analysis of the circuit principles of the gyroscope system is conducted firstly, and the gyroscope system is taking as the research object. Pulse current injection experiments are conducted on both the signal output port and the power supply port to investigate the electromagnetic damage effects on the gyroscope system under the influence of electromagnetic pulses. Research indicates that the signal port is more susceptible to electromagnetic pulse (EMP) effects compared to the power supply port. PCI tests reveal that when the actual injected current at the signal output port reaches 15 A, it experiences electromagnetic damage, resulting in a loss of data transmission capability.
