Operation Optimization of Combined Wind Storage System Based on Electrochemical Energy Storage Life

To mitigate the intermittency and volatility of large-scale wind farms and alleviate their impacts on traditional fossil fuel-based power units, this paper proposes an integrated wind-storage system based on the operational cost of the power system. This system incorporates large-scale wind power generation and considers diverse service life models as well as the capacity of the electrochemical energy storage. Employing a multi-objective optimization algorithm, this study optimizes the output scheduling of both the electrochemical energy storage and the pumped-hydro energy storage system, ensuring the full integration of wind power into the grid while compensating for deviations in wind power output. The objective is to minimize the operational cost of the power system and reduce the equivalent load fluctuations after the integration of the combined wind-storage system into the grid. Simulation experiments demonstrate the feasibility and rationality of the proposed integrated wind-storage system.
