Analysis of the Electric Field at the Tip of the Converter Transformer under the Influence of Temperature Gradient

In order to study how temperature affects the distribution of the electric field in converter transformers, we have investigated the distribution of the internal fluid temperature field of the transformer. Using simulation models to analyze the distribution of electric fields under direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) conditions, and further investigate the impact of temperature on the electric fields at the ends of converter transformers.This analysis helps us to understand the impact of temperature on the electric field at the tips of the spikes. Such insights are beneficial for guiding the improvement of cooling methods for converter transformers, as well as for the design and fault analysis of the transformers.
