VISION: Visual Insight Solution Interface Outreach Navigator

In 2023, an estimated 43 million people worldwide will grapple with blindness, contending with challenges in colour perception, object recognition, and independent text reading. These limitations often make navigating their surroundings safely a daunting task, with obstacle detection posing a significant barrier. To address these challenges and empower the visually impaired community, we introduce an innovative concept: a wearable hat integrated with embedded system technology called VISION. This groundbreaking device, when worn and operated according to user commands, seamlessly interprets and follows their instructions. Our mission is to provide a sense of autonomy and confidence to the visually impaired, allowing them to navigate the world effortlessly and with enhanced independence. The Visual Insight Solution Interface Outreach Navigator (VISION) is our pioneering solution. Combining cutting-edge technology with a wearable design, this work aims to empower the visually impaired and alleviate daily challenges. With a focus on enhancing the user experience and fostering inclusivity, the proposed work represents a significant step towards a more accessible and equitable world.
