Connecting Safety through the Internet of Things (IoT) for Remote Fire and Earthquake Detection Monitoring

The Internet of Things (IoT) and the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) are two instances of networked systems and devices that have arisen as a result of rapid technological advancements. This technology has the potential to revolutionise a number of industries, including public safety and disaster management. Based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and Internet of Vehicles (IoV), this study suggests a safety system for remote real-time monitoring and seismic detection. The proposed system tracks seismic activity and detects impending fires using a network of sensors installed in various vehicles and structures. These sensors comprise a range of data-collecting tools, including vibration sensors that detect earthquakes and smoke detectors that detect fires. The control unit uses machine learning and sophisticated data analytics to process the supplied data in order to precisely identify earthquakes and fires. The system also makes use of the IoV concept to make the reaction measures more efficient and effective. It utilises the real-time position and trajectory data of cars to aid in rapid emergency response and optimise evacuation. There are several advantages to the proposed method over more traditional forms of monitoring and safety systems. Authorities can respond swiftly to earthquakes and fires because to its real-time monitoring capabilities, which in turn reduces the likelihood of human deaths and property damage. Improving the system's responsiveness, the integration of IoV enables intelligent decision-making based on the varying traffic circumstances and available resources.
