AI Music Assist: A Unified Chatbot Solution for Comprehensive Music Data Access in the Industry

The AI Assist for the Music Industry project addresses the critical challenge of fragmented and inaccessible music data dispersed across multiple platforms. With a vast amount of information about music artists, albums, and songs available, collecting this data is time-consuming and often incomplete. This project proposes the development of an AI-powered chatbot, deployed within Microsoft Teams, to provide a unified platform for accessing comprehensive music information effortlessly. The methodologies and technologies employed include Azure, Azure Copilot Studio, Python scripts, and GPT. The chatbot leverages data extracted from prominent music sites like Spotify and YouTube Music through APIs and web scraping techniques. Data from music vendors such as Spotify and Universal Music and internal organizational data are collected using precise API calls and web crawling. Spotify's API offers extensive details on albums, tracks, and artists, which are retrieved in JSON format and converted to CSV files using Python's Pandas library. The conversion process involves creating an empty Data Frame of required features, extracting data using the get attribute from Python dictionaries, and storing the data in CSV format. By integrating this chatbot within Microsoft Teams, the project ensures that users across the organization can easily access accurate and comprehensive music data. This innovative solution enhances data retrieval efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility, making it a valuable tool for industry professionals, researchers, and music enthusiasts.
