Optimizing the Efficiency of C++ Codes Generated from Isabelle/HOL Specifications

Isabelle2Cpp is a general framework that allows generating C++ codes from functional Isabelle/HOL specifications automatically. This paper further improves Isabelle2Cpp and optimizes the efficiency of C++ codes it generated. Different optimization methods, such as value reuse, appropriate type selection and memorization acceleration, are thus proposed, which makes the runtime of generated C++ codes achieve the same order of magnitude as handwritten codes. Benchmarks demonstrate the effectiveness of these optimization methods.
