Performance of Single Plant Microbial Fuel Cells (PMFC) in Aquaponics System Under Tropical Climate

Plant microbial fuel cell (PMFC) is a promising new renewable energy technology that combines plant photosynthesis with microbial fuel cells to convert solar energy into electricity. This study investigated the effect of temperature and humidity on the performance of single PMFCs. Statistical analyses, including covariance and regression analyses, were used to determine the relationships between these parameters. The results showed a correlation between temperature and humidity with voltage and power density, but no statistically significant difference was found. This research provides insights for future investigations in this field.
