Study the Impact of Artificial Intelligence Capabilities on the Intention to Use the Electronic Authentication Mechanisms in Modern Banks

The aim of this study is to examine the impact of artificial intelligence capabilities on the intention to use the electronic authentication mechanism in modern banks. A Standard questionnaire was used to collect the data, which was responded to by 401 customers of Resalat Bank in the southeast of Iran and the data analysis was done using the structural equations modeling. According to the results, artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities have a positive and significant effect on perceived ease of use; perceived ease of use also has a positive and significant effect on perceived usefulness and attitude. On the other hand, artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities do not have a significant effect on perceived usefulness, and perceived usefulness does not have a significant effect on attitude. Finally, attitude has a positive and significant effect on the intention to use. Results show that customers do not feel much difference in terms of usage between artificial intelligence-based authentication systems and other common authentication mechanisms, and it is suggested that banks take effective measures to create and implement awareness programs about the benefits of electronic identity authentication for customers to help increase the understanding of the concept of the usefulness of using electronic identity authentication. This study provides a new insight into the usage of Artificial Intelligence in banking by investigating the Impact of Artificial Intelligence Capabilities on the intention to use Electronic Authentication Mechanisms in modern banks. This new insight shows the importance of paying more attention to the context of raising awareness of the benefits of AI-based electronic authentication for customers by these banks.
