A New Distribution Line Parameter Correction Model Using Field Recloser Data

This letter develops a new parameter correction method for realistic distribution systems using available supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) data from reclosers without voltage phase angle information. The parameter correction model is derived and decomposed into two subproblems, namely a state estimation subproblem and a parameter estimation subproblem, to address the issue of limited measurements and easy problem-solving. Test results on the realistic, three-phase, unbalanced, 2135-node Dominion Energy distribution system with field measurements highlight the improved parameter accuracy compared to other methods.
