Multi-Indicator Synchronous Optimization of Switched Reluctance Motor for Vehicles Considering the Multiphysical Field Coupling

In order to improve the comprehensive performance of switched reluctance motor (SRM), a multi-indicator synchronous optimization design method based on the multiphysical field coupling characteristics of SRM is proposed. First, constraints considering vehicle’s actual driving conditions are established by constructing motor drive system and vehicle dynamics system. Second, finite element analysis (FEA) is constructed to analyze the electromagnetic properties based on its actual operating region. Considering the magnetic-thermal coupling characteristics, a thermal field analysis model is established, and the temperature distribution of SRM is obtained. Subsequently, key performance indicators are identified based on the characteristics of SRM, and the influence of design variables on these indicators is studied, leading to the proposed multi-indicator synchronous optimization design method based on the multiphysical field coupling characteristics. Finally, a comparative analysis and experimental validation of the SRM performance indicators before and after optimization are carried out, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed optimization design method.
